Simon Kirkpatrick
Co-Founder, Strategy & Operations
Simon is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology innovator with a career spanning over four decades across diverse industries. As Co-CEO of RuleWise, Simon combines his deep expertise in AI-driven solutions with a strategic vision to simplify compliance and governance for organisations and regulators worldwide. His passion for leveraging technology to solve complex challenges drives the company’s mission to transform compliance into a growth-enabling tool.
Simon has founded and led multiple successful ventures, including pioneering roles in the tech industry. From launching innovative platforms at Duforest Systems to founding Humpty Dumpty/QXL, a ground-breaking e-commerce platform, Simon’s leadership has consistently delivered transformative results. His ability to blend technological advancement with strategic business frameworks has positioned him as a thought leader in the field of regulatory technology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Simon brings a unique blend of academic and personal interests to RuleWise. He is actively engaged in historical research, pursuing Doctoral research into the polity of mediaeval ecclesiastical history in the Channel Islands, and is passionate about community service, holding key roles in Veterans organisations and his Parish. This combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and intellectual curiosity makes Simon a driving force behind RuleWise’s innovative solutions.

Co-Founder, Sales
Mort is a dynamic and accomplished leader with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Renowned for his expertise in regulatory and risk management, Mort has a proven track record of driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and transformative change. As Co-CEO of RuleWise, he leverages his extensive leadership experience to guide organisations through complex compliance landscapes, fostering innovation and sustainable development.
Throughout his career, Mort has held pivotal leadership roles, including steering financial institutions to significant profitability and balance sheet growth. From turning around a loss-making entity into a thriving business with £8M in peak profits to managing £9B in assets under management, Mort has consistently delivered results. His deep understanding of governance, strategic planning, and risk management ensures that RuleWise remains at the forefront of compliance technology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mort is an advocate for continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration, making him an integral part of RuleWise’s mission to simplify compliance and empower organisations globally.
